Family SANGwich

My favorite time of day is morning. Mommy brings me into bed with Daddy and we have a family sandwich. Or as my Daddy says SANGwich.

It's Saturday!! Mommy and Daddy are home. Mommy just went for a run around the lake with Tara. Tonight we are going to a party in Manalalalalalapalan NJ. I'm going to see the Grandma and Grandpa Gabay!! And Aunt Jacqui! And Uncle Julian! And cousin Alex! I think cousin Nicole and Matthew (the twins) are staying home.

Monday is Passover. Did I tell you that I am Jewish? I am. But Mommy's family is Catholic. So I get to celebrate both sets of holidays! Cousin Cheryl sent me a beautiful pink coat with bunny ears! We will take photos of that for Easter. So my family encompasses two religions and I have never set foot in a temple or a church. I guess we just celebrate the commercial aspects of the holidays.

But I Regress...

Hee-Hee...I'm driving Mommy crazy. I was doing really well sleeping through the night - until she went back to work! Since I don't get to see her during the day anymore, I like to keep her up at night so we can spend some time together. She doesnt seem to happy about this. When she comes up to get me (remember - her bedroom is all the way downstairs) she looks a little pissed off. And she doesnt talk to me much. Really - she just sticks a pacifier in my mouth and goes away. And sometimes she sends Daddy. He does the same thing. They're pretty crabby at 4am.

Oh - remember a few weeks ago I said that I learned a secret? Well, I can spill the beans now...I am getting more cousins!! Chrissie and Richter are having a baby! And...Ryan and Evan are having a baby! And of course Uncle Dan and Aunt Beth-Anne are having a baby in September. I can't wait.

Mellow Weekend

Let's see...it's been a crazy week. Mom went back to work and Grandma and Grandpa Kiernan have been taking care of me. Grandpa drives down every day to pick me up and bring me back to their house. I think I wiped them out this week. Mommy is happy though. She loves going to her office...something about the food there. I dont think she's going to lose weight any time soon.

So...it's the weekend and we're not doing much of anything. Daddy is at a poker tournament with Grandpa and Jason. Mommy took me for a walk to the lake. And now, I need a diaper change, so please excuse me.

Atlantic City

Sorry I havent written, but we have been in Atlantic City the last few days. Daddy took off from work so that we could all spend some time together before Mommy goes back to work tomorrow. My parents were so excited to go, but I am not sure I see the allure. We traveled through some very sketchy areas to get to the Taj. I saw so many new things: pawn shops, liquor stores (haha - I've seen them before...have you met my Mom and Dad?), crack whores, drug dealers, and lots and lots and lots of old ladies with quarters. I also saw the ocean for the first time.

Mom and Dad didnt have to pay for our room and we got upgraded to a beautiful suite. Mommy went running on the boardwalk, but I couldnt go. I cant go in my jogging stroller until I am four months old. Then I can go running too!

Still Sick and New Trick

Can you see how watery my eyes are? I'm still sick. We didnt go to PA so I didnt get to meet my cousins. I did learn a secret today. But I cant tell you yet...stay tuned.

So last night was horrible. We were awake from 1am until 5am. Mommy made me sleep in my carseat so that my head was elevated. And Daddy was trying to clear my nose out so that I could eat. I showed them how loud I can scream. I'm almost as loud as my Mom!

I did learn a new trick though! You know how my pacifier is always falling out and then I cry until somebody puts it back in my mouth? Well, I finally realized that I can hold it in place. Unless I sneeze...then it comes out again.

So a big storm is coming. A snow storm!! Can you believe this? Yesterday Mommy let me take a nap out on the deck because it was so nice out and tomorrow it's going to snow. Oh I hope Daddy can work from home tomorrow. Mommy went to the store to stock up on supplies. She didnt buy much though: Frozen Pizza, Pinot Noir, a Pineapple and Preference by Loreal (Medium Golden Brown!)

The Common Cold

Ugh - Mommy and I are sick!!! Isnt she supposed to protect me from germs for the first few months of my life? The worst part is I dont know how to blow my nose. Mommy and Daddy use this horrible suction thing to clear out my nose. I cry and cry when they use this. It's also very hard for me to eat - because I cant breathe!!

Meanwhile - we have been so social this week that we are spreading disease throughout the Hudson Valley (and PA tomorrow!)

Mommy talked to Aunt Jacqui today - we're still trying to get some photos of my cousins! Remember - I have three cousins: Alex, Nicole and Matthew...and no photos.

Day Of Fun

Today was super busy! It was warm again...we walked around the lake. We also went to Grandma & Grandpa Kiernan's house. They will be watching me starting next week when Mommy goes back to work. So Mom had to show them the ropes. Grandma Irene and Grandma Tootsie were there too! They're all leaving for Florida tomorrow morning.

We also went to Julie's house to see Julie (holding me left), Kate (with me right) and Olivia (left). We had fun. Julie and Mommy talk so much. I couldnt fall asleep. Julie took a lot of photos and Mommy will post them soon.

Tomorrow we're going to see Tara and then on Thursday we are driving to Pennsylvania to meet: Cousins Chrissie, Richter, and Joseph AND Uncle Joe and Aunt Sharon! Maybe we'll meet Cousins Evan, Ryan, Sean and Christian too!!

Mom's trying to pack a lot of fun in before she goes back to work. We're going to try to go to Atlantic City next week. For all of you out there that had bets on when I would get to A/C...it will be before my three month birthday! I have to learn to gamble at some point if I am going to fit in with this family.

Meet the Kiernans

I havent written in a while - I thought I would fill you in. Today is Saturday which makes me happy because Daddy is home all day. Tomorrow too! We went to the diner for a big breakfast.

We did a lot of activities today - Mommy read to me, we had some tummy time, I played in my swing, I played on my floor gym, and I played with this trippy lava lamp thing (photo left).

Mommy also sang to me this morning - I think it was "TV On the Radio" - her voice is pretty bad so I couldnt quite figure it out. Plus I dont think she really knows the lyrics.

We went to my Great Uncle Gary's 50th Birthday Party now. Shhh - it's a surprise. I think he knew though. Apparently we missed a lot of the fun. I was really fussy to my parents left early. But we got this photo (right) at midnight last night from Grandpa.

Hop On Pop

I love books. And I love Dr. Seuss. My favorite is Hop on Pop. I read from it for Daddy when he comes home...

"Dad is Sad. Very, very sad. He had a bad day. What a day Dad had."

Oh guess what?! I slept for 7 hours straight last night. Mommy put me down at 9:30pm. I remember the time because Mom and Dad were watching "House". This is a pretty dumb show and it concerns me that they watch it week after week. Basically, there's this doctor (House is his name, I know - it's dumb) and his main goal in life is to obtain morphine for the pain in his leg (he was shot). The sub-plot is that he tries to solve all of these really interesting medical cases. They always solve the medical case at like 8:30pm and you look at the clock and say "wait the show still has another half hour" so of course - they didnt really solve the problem. Then they sort of trip upon the answer. Like House will see a butterfly go by and he will say 'butterfly, butter, clogged arteries, he has a clogged artery!!'. So dumb.

Anyway - Mom put me to bed at 9:30pm and I slept til 4:30am!!

Is everyone looking forward to my growth spurt next week? Should be fun for everyone!

-13 Degrees (with Wind Chill)

It is FREEZING. Why oh why did Mommy take me outside today? We went to the grocery store but all I wanted to do was sleep. Let's see...what have I been up to?

I met Carol yesterday. Mommy used to run with Carol before I took over her body. She's trying to run again - but is not quite up to speed. If she thinks she's going to do a marathon in December, she better get moving.

Mommy went to a CPR class last night so she can take care of me if I stop breathing. This will come in handy since Mommy forgot to fill out all the paperwork for my health insurance. We're going to see Great Grandma Tootsie tomorrow. Getting in all our visits before Mommy goes back to work (in two weeks). I'm going to miss her. I think I'll stay awake all night so I can spend more time with her before she goes back.

Meeting Milo!

I met even more people this weekend!! We went to Jardena & Matt's house yesterday and I met Mason and Greta. Mason will be 3 years old this month. And Greta is 1 1/2 years old. I wish I had photos to show you - but Mommy totally forgot to take pictures. She also forgot to change my diaper for like 5 hours yesterday and now I have a raging diaper rash. Will she ever learn? Anyway - it was my second time in NJ. Gas is so cheap there!

I also met Milo (photo left), Tara and Jason's new puppy. He doesnt wear a diaper and I saw him poop on the floor.

Hmmm, what else is new...I smile a lot now. And I try really hard to talk (so I can tell Mommy that I shit my shorts). I know how to play with some of my toys now...and I figured out how to get my thumbs in my mouth. I also learned that Mommy and Daddy have stinky breath in the morning. Also - my parents are so funny. They are sitting right next to each other on their computers and they are actually pinging each other. Dont they realize they can talk??? It's Raining. It's Pouring.

Daddy had a rough commute today. The Taconic AND the Saw Mill Parkway were closed because of flooding. Mommy and I drove him to the train station. Daddy hates public transportation - and he will have to take the subway today too. At least tomorrow is Saturday and Daddy will be home. I didnt get to see him much last night. He got home at 9pm and I was in the middle of a melt-down so Mommy put me to bed. I was cranky because The Office was a rerun. American Idol ruins everything!!!

I am going to meet new people tomorrow. I will finally meet Jardena's kids - Mason and Greta. I met Jardena once before - but I was only a week old and I dont remember that much.

I am wearing my Google shirt today. I am also wearing my first pair of jeans - Ma-moo & Pa-poo (Grandma & Grandpa Gabay) bought them for me. I wonder if I can get them to buy me jeans when I am a teenager...when they are really really expensive.

Tara and Jason are getting their puppy tomorrow! I cant wait to play with him.
