Merry Christmas!

We had a crazy week. Went to Grandma Irene's on Christmas Eve and saw all my mommy's crazy cousins. And I got lots of presents from Aunt Lori, Aunt Debbie and Grandma Irene!

When I woke up the next morning there were mad presents under the tree. I ran to mommy's room to tell her. It took me 4 hours to open all my presents. And I needed a nap.

We had everyone at our house that day. Daddy cooked a ham and a turkey and a ton of other stuff. The house was a wreck at the end of the day. Mommy, Daddy, and Jason cleaned until late at night. But they let me stay up to play with all my toys.

Big Girl Towel

Mom was still trying to use the towels from when I was an infant. My tooshie always stuck out. Santa finally brought some big girl towels and I can put my hair up now like Mommy does.

Email from Mr. Nate!

I got an email from Mr. Nate today! He was my teacher but he moved away two months ago. We miss him so much. He was a ton of fun and also taught us so much.

He sent a few pictures from school - including this one of me with my American Girl Doll. I love my doll but mom said she would never step foot in that store again. She said there were a lot of crazies in there.

I had three parties! One: at school, Hello Kitty. Two: at home snowed in, Dora. Three: at Grandma and Grandpas, Tinkerbell.

I got lots and lots of presents!

Hanukkah Angel

Yay - lots of holidays this week. I even got my first Dreidel from Grandma Tootsie!

Then my birthday. Then Santa!

Princesses

What happens when you let two three year olds play quietly in the bedroom without supervision? They paint each other's faces with nail polish.

Most fun EVER

Helping Daddy

My new favorite activity is helping Daddy with all his flowers and plants. I helped him pick everything out. And we water them all the time.

We have had really good weather this fall. So lots of good sunshine for the flowers.

Little Orphan Annie

My first time Trick or Treating was pretty lucrative. I started at the Platt's and ended at my cousin Mickey's house. The village of Wappingers was a pretty good sweet spot of candy.

Mommy's Music or Daddy's Music?

I really like to listen to music...and I love to dance. Problem is that I am influenced by parents that have very different taste in music.

There are a few 'lowest common denominator' bands that they both like: U2, Kings of Leon, etc.

For the most part, Dad is pretty stuck in the '70's. Especially black musicians - Reggae, Jimi, Funk and Soul.

Mom tries really hard to have hipster cred - even at her advanced maternal age.

Hot-Tubbing

We had a fabulous visit with Andres & his baby brother, Evan.

The visit was a few weeks ago - sorry that I am just posting now. I had to steal the photo off of Andres' blog. Thanks Perla! :)

Happy Birthday Mickey!!!!

My cousin Mickey had his 2nd birthday party this weekend at Grandma and Grandpa Kiernan's house. They went all out! There was a petting zoo and pony rides and a face-painter and jumpy things and pinata's! Makes me wonder...where is MY BIRTHDAY PARTY MOMMY???

Anyway - I was a really good girl that day. And Mickey was a really good boy. It was a fabulous time. I had so much fun that I passed out from exhaustion that night.

Thank you Jen Nassani for taking such great photos!

In other news: I pooped on the potty yesterday and I am now sleeping in a "big girl bed".

Lollipop Lollipop Oh Lolly Lolly Lolly

I think Dell uses this song in their new ad campaign. Pretty shitty ad creative if you ask me. But I am not an advertising executive, so what do I know?

Mommy and Daddy get me to do things by giving me lollipops. I think it's called bribery.

And yes, that is an open bottle of Simi next to me. I guess Mommy isnt pregnant yet.

Adriana and Me

It was a HOT Sunday. We were going to go to the beach...but we stayed inside with the Air Conditioner. In the background, you can see Tara with Adriana's new sister, Alexa!

Three Blind Mice

I think we've seen this photo before - but maybe we're a year older in this one. Another weekend at cousin Richard's ... which is more like a museum of very expensive and rare Beatle's memorabilia. Not a very good place for a two year old. Sure - we look like good kids in this picture. But nothing is further from the truth. We are complete devils and we get into everything.

At the Beach with Mickey

Yum - snacks at the beach. Life is Good. Spent lots of time with Mommy this weekend since she's leaving me all week.

How many days do you think Daddy can make it on his own?

I bet I'm at Grandma's or Aunt Beth-Anne's by Wednesday.

Yankee Game

We went to a Yankee game last weekend.
Grandpa got a big suite and a bunch of us went including Mamu and Papu! It was Papu's birthday.
Even though I was in a luxury suite with food, drink, and great seats...I still pouted a lot.
Yankees lost to Oakland.

Brooklyn Botanical Gardens

On Friday Mommy came to school with me and helped to chaperone my school to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens.

Here is a picture of me with my two best friends from school: Tabby and Sydney. Also - Miss Judy!!

And here is one of us riding the subway. Tabby & Sydney are smiling b/c they are city girls used to the subway. I was a bit freaked out.

Sunny Day! Sweeping the Clouds Away!

We went to Sesame Place on Sunday. I was absolutely terrified of Big Bird, Elmo, Ernie, Bert & Zoe. Refused to take my picture with them.

And I didnt want to go on any rides either. Mom and Dad were getting mad at me saying things like "HAVE FUN NOW" and "We payed a ton of money to get you in here".

Then I found the pool. And I had a blast. And Daddy bought me a Zoe doll which I have been clinging to ever since.

Princeton Party

We went to a party this weekend in Princeton, NJ. The property was PHAT with a PH. They had a real live horse-y which has been my new obsession lately. They also had a kick ass swing set and a trampoline.

I got to see my cousins and Mamu and Papu.

We played all day and I cried when we had to leave.

YaYa's

I found out the divine secret...I think it's alcohol.

Here's Mommy and her two best friends and all the kids. See how everyone else has a sibling but me?

Maybe Mommy should give up the wine for 9 months and produce a sib.

Tia Susan!

Since my Tia Susan is one of my most dedicated readers, I thought I should post a picture of her and me together! Hi Tia!!! There are more Gabay photos posted here: http://picasaweb.google.com/kgabay/July4#

My First Race

I ran my first race on July 4th. I was the youngest person in the race. And I came in last place. My shoes came off 4 times but I finished the 1/2 mile course!

Welcome to my Food Store

This is my food store. Everything is $2. I have watermelon, hot dogs, and pasta. Oh and I can make you coffee too.

No school this week. And lots of rain. So I am mostly chilling at home. Yesterday I saw Mommy's friend Kolleen and her baby Lilly. We went to a swanky country club in Greenwich.

I am hoping to see my BFF, Adriana today. She has a new baby sister.

Tomorrow I am running my first race ever! And then I am going to Grandma and Grandpa's to watch Grandpa's illegal firework show.

Tree Hugger?

This is me in my first tree. I didnt actually climb the tree. Uncle Julian helped me. I saw my cousin Alex in the tree (he's almost 6) and I was like "Yea - I want to do that too".

I am also wearing a fabulous new dress from my Great Aunt Debbie. It's orange, my Mommy's favorite color.

My Cousin Mickey

My cousin Mickey came over on Sunday and we went to the beach. Check him out - he's got a farmer's tan!

Before and After

Hmmm...I think we've done this post before. Like a year ago, the last time Mommy got her hair cut. Sometimes I think this blog is more about my Mom than it is about me. It's as if she's writing it.

How 'Bout "NO"

So I'm a little bit Spicy. Like last night...My mom said to me "How about giving Daddy a kiss goodnight?" and I responded...

"How about NOOOOOOOO"

Got a problem?

Papu's Party

We saw the whole Gabay family at cousin Richard's house...which of course means a bunch of 2 year olds in a pool...or in this case a Hot Tub that wasnt hot yet. My cousins like to splash me. But I dont mind. I was smart enough to have a bathing suit ready.

My Best Friend

Adriana is definitely my best friend. I want to see her more than I want to see anyone else. And after our fabulous play-date (which included olives, cheese and wine) I immediately asked my mom when I could see her again. Also - she has a fabulous swing set.

The Science of Sleep

So there were a few scary weeks (for my mom) where I didnt take my naps. Mom freaked out because this is the only time she gets to herself. My weekend naps are a safe haven for her.

I was also staying up til 10pm and waking up at 5am. I did this on Mother's Day. I will stand up in bed and announce "I WAKE UP!!"

But I think we're back in the business of sleep.

In other news...I got my first library card and my teacher Miss Judy takes me once a week to get a new book.

Lenox Hill...again...

We went to visit Papu in the hospital this week. Children are not usually allowed upstairs - but we have some connections and I was able to see him.

And I got to see Mamu and take her out to dinner for Mother's Day. I wore a pretty new green dress.

We are very sad that Papu is sick.

A Jewish Egg Hunt

I went to Grandma Irene's on Easter Sunday to see the family and look for Easter Eggs. They are nice to me even though I am Jewish. Here's a picture of me with Grandma Tootsie. She helped me find more eggs.

Busch Gardens

Mommy and Daddy took me to Williamsburg, VA last weekend. 9 hours in a car, Yay. Here's a picture of me on the carousel at Busch Gardens. I also got to meet Ernie, Bert, and Elmo.

During our vacation, Mommy fell down a flight of stairs, broke her pinky toe, and slammed her finger in the car door. Oh - she also had a horrible stomach thing.

Happy Mommy!!!!

It was Mommy's birthday last week. I sang to her.

Ace, Two, Three, Four

Easter Egg Hunt

My shiksa boyfriend, Caden, showed me how the gentiles go hunting for eggs. I wasnt so good at it. I only got one egg. Caden got like a dozen and he shared them with me. I dont need to go hunting for eggs...if I want eggs, I'll buy eggs.

Anyway - I was pretty into it. We played Easter Egg Hunt all day long. Until Mommy and Daddy got tired of hiding them.

Here's a video of Caden and I out for a strut...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AON36VmhgtM

Very Important Advertising Executive

I have decided that I want to be just like Mommy & Daddy. Completely stressed out. Completely overworked. Completely overtired. I think a career in advertising is just the thing for me.

I have visions of responding to RFP's for household chores. My future sibling (ahem - when are you guys getting going on that anyway??) and I will have to outbid each other to win projects like raking the leaves.

This is my third cell phone  - 3G. I'm two and I have had three cell phones. This is my first lap-top though. Finally - something in our house that's not a ThinkPad. I dont use the phone that much - mostly to order pizza from Lucia's.

First Haircut!

So I realize that I'm practically a teenager now ... but I finally got my first haircut. Look how stressed out I am in the photo...I wonder where I get my "stress" gene from? God knows it aint Daddy.
