Starvin' Marvin

We finally got out of the hospital on Thursday (December 21). Grandma and Grandpa Kiernan drove us home. But first Grandpa had to get my car seat installed. My parents leave everything to the last minute...my name, my car seat...oy. In this picture you can see my cone head. Dont worry it gets better.

The first week home was crazy. People were at our house every day. And Daddy was still working a lot. I met so many people my first week home: Grandma and Grandpa Gabay, Aunt Jacqui and Uncle Julian, Aunt Beth-Anne and uncle Dan, all my cousins: Alex, Nicole, and Matthew. I also met my Great Grandmas - Tootsie and Irene. I met Mommy and Daddy's friends: Julie, Tara, Jason, Denise, Jardena, Doug, Carla, Richard, Ellen, Charlotte, Dan, Anne. I didnt meet Michelle, but Mommy talks to her on the phone all the time.

Mommy was really tired and cranky that week. I never let her sleep - I was crying all the time. I was crying so much because I was freakin' hungry. I know all the books say that us newborns dont need food for the first few days - well that's total crap. I was so hungry and Mommy had no milk for me. She was being so stubborn about giving me formula. I was like "Yo - There's a can of formula right there - I see it...just give me the damn formula". But Mommy really wanted to 'EBF' or exclusively breast feed. How annoying. She read all these books talking about EBF. But did she want me to disappear completely? I had lost a whole pound and I was dehydrated too. My lips were so chapped. Finally the doctor convinced Mommy to give me formula. Thank God. And then finally - her milk started to come in. Now I can eat straight from the teet.
