Well apparently it's not all about me anymore. I'm about to have a baby sister and I'll need to start sharing the lime-light. I have been practicing so much lately - with Baby Jakob and then with Baby Sadie and I think I'm ready to be an excellent big sister. So much is changing. Mommy stopped working (for now), I'm in a new school, and I have a new bedroom.

I started ballet. It's only a five week program - we'll have to see if I am really into it or not before mom commits to something more. We are hoping that my teacher (miss Vivienne) can teach me grace. Lord knows mom and dad can't.

Because we are at a little lake. But Mommy is going to take me to the "beach with big waves" soon. Hopefully Daddy can come too.

We are having a good summer so far. I change schools soon and I really cant wait. I'm getting very tired of my long commute.

Life with a bounce house

My Grandpa Joe gets me a bouncy house every year for our big BBQ. Since my birthday is during the December holidays - I never get a good birthday party. So I pretend that our May BBQ is for my birthday.

I can barely keep up with my blog these days. Just way too much going on. Mommy and Daddy are so busy at work lately. Plus we had to tear up our entire basement because of a little problem with the boiler and we have to get my new bedroom ready.

I am going to get a purple carpet for my new bedroom. And a princess bed. I have to move out of my bedroom to make room for the new baby. It's a baby girl. And even though her name will be Morgan, I will call her Marabelle.

I am also very busy with my art. I am an amazing artist. Mommy will have to help me scan a picture so that we can post it here.

Grandma and Grandpa are finally home from Florida - I cant wait to see them on Saturday. It's their 40th Anniversary!!

Mommy took me to work yesterday as part of "bring your kids to work day".

We read a book called Pouch...with the author - who showed us how he drew the pictures. Then we got to see a real kangaroo!

Daddy came for lunch. And then I painted a pot - we filled it with dirt, fertilizer and pea seeds.

Then I played on the slide for a while, til I got hurt (yes Mommy's office has a slide in it) and then we went home.

Face Painters

Thanks to Caden's grandpa - we finally have food in the neighborhood. There is a noodle shop, a pizza place, and soon - a deli! Since we live 10 miles from nearest grocery store - you can imagine how excited we are.

There was a big Grand Opening last weekend and I got my face painted - I wanted pink flowers and I got them.

Best Friends

Though I am very excited to go to my new school in August - I will be so sad to say goodbye to my two best friends. Sydney (in red) and Tabby (in purple) have been my schoolmates for three years! I cant wait to see them every Monday.

I hope that I can still see them sometimes on the weekends. Maybe we can meet at the zoo!!

Pioneers

Three nights with no power. It sort of sucked ass. We pioneered it through the first night. Dad had an awesome fire going so the house was warm. And mom managed to cook some stuff between the grill and the wood burning stove. But we had no water...and at a certain point...you need the water.

Checked in to a hotel on Friday. We were not alone - all of Putnam and Dutchess county were also at the hotel...with their dogs and everything. Of course hotel was sold out next night so we had to move hotels. Traveling caravan not knowing where we are going to sleep from one night to the next. Not fun.

Mommy just burst into tears yesterday. She has a ton of work to do - but has been having a hard time b/c I have literally been up her butt for four days.

We finally got home last night. And then we threw out hundreds of dollars of food.

We went to Disney World and it was AMAZING! I had breakfast with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto. And...I met all the princesses at another breakfast in Cinderella's castle! I want to go back again soon. And I want to ride on the "doll ride" which is "Small World" again.

We had a crazy week. Went to Grandma Irene's on Christmas Eve and saw all my mommy's crazy cousins. And I got lots of presents from Aunt Lori, Aunt Debbie and Grandma Irene!

When I woke up the next morning there were mad presents under the tree. I ran to mommy's room to tell her. It took me 4 hours to open all my presents. And I needed a nap.

We had everyone at our house that day. Daddy cooked a ham and a turkey and a ton of other stuff. The house was a wreck at the end of the day. Mommy, Daddy, and Jason cleaned until late at night. But they let me stay up to play with all my toys.

I got an email from Mr. Nate today! He was my teacher but he moved away two months ago. We miss him so much. He was a ton of fun and also taught us so much.

He sent a few pictures from school - including this one of me with my American Girl Doll. I love my doll but mom said she would never step foot in that store again. She said there were a lot of crazies in there.

I really like to listen to music...and I love to dance. Problem is that I am influenced by parents that have very different taste in music.

There are a few 'lowest common denominator' bands that they both like: U2, Kings of Leon, etc.

For the most part, Dad is pretty stuck in the '70's. Especially black musicians - Reggae, Jimi, Funk and Soul.

Mom tries really hard to have hipster cred - even at her advanced maternal age.

My cousin Mickey had his 2nd birthday party this weekend at Grandma and Grandpa Kiernan's house. They went all out! There was a petting zoo and pony rides and a face-painter and jumpy things and pinata's! Makes me wonder...where is MY BIRTHDAY PARTY MOMMY???

Anyway - I was a really good girl that day. And Mickey was a really good boy. It was a fabulous time. I had so much fun that I passed out from exhaustion that night.

Yankee Game

Grandpa got a big suite and a bunch of us went including Mamu and Papu! It was Papu's birthday.

Even though I was in a luxury suite with food, drink, and great seats...I still pouted a lot.

We went to Sesame Place on Sunday. I was absolutely terrified of Big Bird, Elmo, Ernie, Bert & Zoe. Refused to take my picture with them.

And I didnt want to go on any rides either. Mom and Dad were getting mad at me saying things like "HAVE FUN NOW" and "We payed a ton of money to get you in here".

Then I found the pool. And I had a blast. And Daddy bought me a Zoe doll which I have been clinging to ever since.

Princeton Party

We went to a party this weekend in Princeton, NJ. The property was PHAT with a PH. They had a real live horse-y which has been my new obsession lately. They also had a kick ass swing set and a trampoline.

This is my food store. Everything is $2. I have watermelon, hot dogs, and pasta. Oh and I can make you coffee too.

No school this week. And lots of rain. So I am mostly chilling at home. Yesterday I saw Mommy's friend Kolleen and her baby Lilly. We went to a swanky country club in Greenwich.

I am hoping to see my BFF, Adriana today. She has a new baby sister.

Tomorrow I am running my first race ever! And then I am going to Grandma and Grandpa's to watch Grandpa's illegal firework show.

So there were a few scary weeks (for my mom) where I didnt take my naps. Mom freaked out because this is the only time she gets to herself. My weekend naps are a safe haven for her.

I was also staying up til 10pm and waking up at 5am. I did this on Mother's Day. I will stand up in bed and announce "I WAKE UP!!"

But I think we're back in the business of sleep.

In other news...I got my first library card and my teacher Miss Judy takes me once a week to get a new book.

We went to visit Papu in the hospital this week. Children are not usually allowed upstairs - but we have some connections and I was able to see him.

And I got to see Mamu and take her out to dinner for Mother's Day. I wore a pretty new green dress.

Mommy and Daddy took me to Williamsburg, VA last weekend. 9 hours in a car, Yay. Here's a picture of me on the carousel at Busch Gardens. I also got to meet Ernie, Bert, and Elmo.

During our vacation, Mommy fell down a flight of stairs, broke her pinky toe, and slammed her finger in the car door. Oh - she also had a horrible stomach thing.

My shiksa boyfriend, Caden, showed me how the gentiles go hunting for eggs. I wasnt so good at it. I only got one egg. Caden got like a dozen and he shared them with me. I dont need to go hunting for eggs...if I want eggs, I'll buy eggs.

Anyway - I was pretty into it. We played Easter Egg Hunt all day long. Until Mommy and Daddy got tired of hiding them.

Very Important Advertising Executive

I have decided that I want to be just like Mommy & Daddy. Completely stressed out. Completely overworked. Completely overtired. I think a career in advertising is just the thing for me.

I have visions of responding to RFP's for household chores. My future sibling (ahem - when are you guys getting going on that anyway??) and I will have to outbid each other to win projects like raking the leaves.

This is my third cell phone - 3G. I'm two and I have had three cell phones. This is my first lap-top though. Finally - something in our house that's not a ThinkPad. I dont use the phone that much - mostly to order pizza from Lucia's.

It's the moment we have all been waiting for. The moment where my hair does not resemble a rat's nest. Hoorah - here it is. A little pantene conditioner. A little use of the comb. Perfect amount of humidity in the air and voila - my hair looks good.

I went to see BFF (the next generation) this weekend. Mommy and Adriana's mom were BFF's growing up and I hope that Adriana and I can be BFF's now.

I am obsessed with Annie. Annie. Annie. Annie. I wake up at 5am and say "Annie!" to mommy. If Annie is not in the scene, Mommy has to fast forward until Annie comes back on. If mommy tries to sing the songs...I yell at her "NOOOO Mommy - NO SING. Annie Sing!"

That is how I start all of my sentences now. It's a very "Google-y" thing to do. Mom never said it til she started to work there. And if you ask me a question, such as "do you want Dora or Diego?" I will respond with a "Ummmm....Dora!"

It's been a rough week at work. We're working late almost every night. But tonight we took two cars to the city and Mommy & I got to sneak out at 5pm. I even took a bath tonight (I never get to take a bath during the week and I have it on good authority that I am the smelly kid at school).

Daddy is just leaving now and he wont be home til 10pm.

I am going to bed now. And then I think mommy has ice-cream. She hides it from me!

Miami Vice

This is how I let my Mom and Dad know that I want to watch the Muppet Movie ... again. Obsessed with Kermit and Miss Piggy. We're home today. But Daddy had to drive to Trenton, NJ for an overnight work trip. Blah! We miss him already.

I spent the night at Uncle Dan & Aunt Beth-Anne's house on Saturday - got to hang out with my cousin Mickey. We even took a bath together. I talked about him non-stop on Sunday. Oh and he has an Elmo Potty (mine is boring - no character at all!) so now I must have an Elmo Potty too.

This is my new winter coat from Mamoo and Papoo. They also got me my first car. And the car has room in the back for my new baby - a gift from Grandma and Grandpa.

And I got a boat load of clothes too. The best gift of all is spending time with my mom and daddy. Just kidding. The best part was the car.

My new favorite game is getting "coffee" for mom and dad. No tea set for this house - just the hard core espresso bean please.

My birthday party was a bust last night. We got 9 inches of snow.

Tara and Jason made it over to our house (they only live 1.7 miles away).

Now I'm on my way to Grandma and Grandpa's. Mommy and Daddy are off to Vegas for a few days.

Well - actually - we dont cross a river...but I did go to Grandma and Grandpa's house for two nights. Mommy and Daddy went to Atlantic City and I got to hang out with the Joe & Linda. Now there are stickers all over their house too. I love to sit on Grandpa's lap and look at my blog. I love looking at myself.

Mommy and Daddy did some mad Black Friday shopping in Atlantic City. I hope they remembered that it's almost my birthday and Hannukah and Christmas. Am I repeating myself?

So this picture was taken on Thanksgiving Day after dinner. I had to take my skirt off because I ate too much and it was tight.

A Week Off

As you can see, we take our coloring very seriously. In fact, anyone reading this - I desperately need new crayons...and you know my Birthday is coming up...as is Hannukah and Christmas. December is a very big month for me.

We colored, we played with Legos, we built castles, we read books and there are Hello Kitty stickers all over the house.

I am talking like crazy now and I will repeat everything you say - even the words I know I'm not supposed to say. I can count to ten. And I sing the alphabet song (though I miss like 20 letters).

I got to meet baby Lillian a few weeks ago. She is very cute and her Mommy is very pretty. I have a baby too (you can see I'm shoving a bottle in her face in photo).

I talked about the baby all day. I want to see her again soon.

Yay - Vacation week! We are all home this week prepping for Thanksgiving. And by prepping, I mean ordering cranberry sauce from William Sonoma. We're going to Grandma and Grandpa's on Thursday and then Mom and Dad are going to leave me (again) to go to Atlantic City (again). But I dont mind too much - because I have had extra Mommy/Daddy time this week. Daddy even took me on a Daddy/Daughter date yesterday so that Mommy could do a quick conference call. He took me to Toys R Us (I cant do a backwards R on the keyboard) to buy me bath toys!

Oh and there are a gazillion new babies at Mommy's work. Congrats: Elle, Nick, and Atoshi! All within three days!

Oh - maybe I should tell you about the pictures! I went to visit my cousins this weekend. It was their birthday - they are two year old twins!

I am obsessed with Tia Tara's Ugg's...they're so warm and cozy. The photo isnt so great because I wouldnt stand still while Jason tried to take my picture with his phone. Also - Jason taught me how to catch a ball last night.

Mommy and I are sick. Cough Cough. Just you wait Daddy - it's coming to get you!

Who knew you could have so much fun with a laundry basket? This is my cousin Mickey...I got to see him at Grandma and Grandpa's house. I like playing with Mickey and I love seeing my aunt Beth-Anne who introduced me to cheese doodles. They're really messy, but at least they are good for you. Mickey smiles and laughs a lot. I'm still learning how to do that.

If you get my Jim McAllister reference from the movie Election - yay!! If you dont...that means you havent seen the movie a million times and you really really really should. Tom Perrotta and Alexander Payne - great combo.

So in Election, Jim McAllister gets stung by a bee (on his eye). All while attempting to cheat on his wife and cheat a young ambitious lady out of an election.

I got bit by a mosquito...and holy crap did that get ugly. By 3:30 - my teachers couldnt look at me anymore and they called Mom & Dad to get me. I went to see Dr. Platt - who said the mosquito got me because I am so delicious...and I am.

Girl's Weekend

We went to North Carolina to see Michelle, Grace & Ava. I was an angel on the flight down but a complete devil on the flight home. That was my last free flight. Next time - I got to pay.

I had a fabulous time with the Cawley girls. I follow Grace everywhere. I wish I had a big sister. Ava talks much more than I do. When I was leaving she said "I'll miss you". I was pretty impressed...but I couldnt tell her.

Ava taught me to sing my "ABC's". Which I have been singing since we got home.

It's a three-day weekend! Sort of...Mommy had to use a vacation day today and Daddy had to go to work to see a client. We went to the park yesterday and I fell off the swing.

On Saturday, I got to hang out with Aunt Tara. She watched me while Mom and Dad played in a poker tournament. They were so anxious to get home to me that they gave up their spots (to Grandma and Grandpa). Then Daddy made a big ham. What a good jew.

It was Grandma's (Grandma Linda) 60th Birthday! I practiced saying "Happy Birthday To You" all day - but I kept forgetting the "birthday" part. Deep down I know that made it even cuter. We rented out a big hall and had a big bash.

Daddy went to Greece for a week, but now he is home. He bought me lots of clothes. I guess he didnt realize that the dollar is weak weak weak over there. LOL - it's f'ing weak here too.

Hello Hello. I've got my sunglasses (actually they're Aunt Beth-Anne's) and my SunnyView shirt on - you'd think it was the height of summer - but actually it's F'ing cold in the PV right now. We even had to put our heat on this week.

So - I've been playing on the potty this week. I like to go pee (which I call "poop") and then get up and look and see what I have done. I do this every five seconds. I'm quite proud of my product.

Busy weekend coming up - lots of birthday

parties...but some are supposed to be surprises so I better shut up. We also have Rosh Hashanah on Monday. And then Daddy is going to Greece for a week and we are sad.

One Last BBQ

We had one last BBQ to close out summer. There are leaves all over the deck already. My best friend Adriana came over and I got to stay up late. I slept really well this weekend and I used the Potty twice yesterday! So I was pretty much a perfect kid...which was good because Mommy & Daddy had hangovers. We were rained in on Saturday. Hannah? Ike? I dont know. Who can keep up. Mom and Dad busted out some toys from the basement to keep me entertained. And a lot of TV was watched. Thank god for Bravo. Then we lost our power at like 9pm - which was pretty spooky. And hot. Dad and I were very stressed about the lack of air conditioning. Mom was more concerned about her Breyers Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream.

I went to my second Bar Mitzvah on Sunday. It was a blast. I love to boogie on the dance floor. No photos though! I told the paparazzi to step off.

Mom and Dad took me to the mall to buy new shoes. We stopped for lunch at Outback Steakhouse. When the waiter asked how everything was, Mommy said "It's not Morton's". Well guess what Mom - you have a baby now. Culinary excursions are on hold for a while.

We went to the Dutchess County Fair on Sunday and met up with my friend Adriana. She is so pretty and has gorgeous hair. I was a total crab the whole day. Everyone tried to cheer me up - Mom even got me corn on the cob. And Adriana gave me kisses. Mommy took me on rides. But the only thing that worked was my binky. I'm home alone with Daddy this week. Mommy's in San Francisco...again.

We went to cousin Richard's house on Saturday. Have I told you about this house yet? Well - I wont even go into details on the house...I'll just talk about the outside. There's a gorgeous heated pool that I refuse to get out of. There's tennis courts, a running trail, a beach volley-ball set up and a basketball court. Oh yea - a secluded hot tub too! When I grow up, I want to be an ana, anna, ana, anesthesiologist. I dont know what that is...but I think you make some good money. I had a great time with my cousins. Here's a picture of me with Nicole. Matthew moves too fast for us to capture him on camera. We had birthday cake for Aunt Susan and Mamoo (Grandma Gabay).

I went to the Google picnic yesterday and had a fabulous time. I ate corn, french fries, corn, french fries, and then more corn. You should have seen my diaper this morning. I hung out with: Ben, Sara, Tim, Laura, Anne, Nick (and his lovely family), Melissa, Kevin and his beautiful wife Katherine (or Catherine? Or Cathryn?). I also got to meet Griffin Vennard who lives really close to me. I heard my mom talking to his mom about having BBQ so maybe I'll see him again soon. You have to realize that NOBODY lives close to us - so this is very exciting to me.

Daddy is working working working working working. I think he's slept only like 6 hours this whole week.

It's the DiGiorgio family! I spent Saturday at the fancy pants Basking Ridge Country Club with the DiGiorgio's. The pool was so much fun. I wish we had a fancy pants pool or a fancy pants country club. Anyway - the DiGiorgios have THREE KIDS! Isnt that insane? But three is the new two. Not according to mom and dad though. They're dragging their heels on giving me just one sibling :(

I also stole a pair of shoes from Greta - thanks Greta! They are pretty.

My Cousin Micky & Me (And Grandma)

Check me out with my big can of coffee. I only wish it were Illy instead of folgers. Mommy has taught me well. I got to hang out with my cousin Micky twice this weekend! Grandma and Grandpa (who I refer to as PaPa) watched me this weekend so that Mom & Dad could have a little R&R. But dont you worry - I still got my time with Mommy. I developed a ridonkulous fever on Sunday evening and was shaking and sweating and cranky all night long. Mom had to sleep with me and we stayed home yesterday. I feel much better now. Hope Micky doesnt get sick!!

Cant Wait to Meet Kolleen's Baby

This is Kolleen...though you may not recognize her b/c she is twice her normal size. That's what happens when you're on bed rest for 7 months. She's going to have a little baby girl any minute now and I am anxiously awaiting her arrival.

This weekend was good - I went to my very first Pig Roast at Aunt Debbie's & Uncle Kevin's house. They even had a big bouncy jumpy thing. Grandpa took me into the big bouncy jumpy thing and I LOVED it.

It poured all day yesterday and I was bored out of my mind. My newest words are "Poop" and "Thunder".

Vacation has ended...so sad. I finally warmed up to the ocean on the last day. Then I didnt want to leave.

I'm back at school now...back to the grind. Long days of playing in the park and making art projects. I'm already dreaming of the next vacation...

Corn on the Cob rocks. I want to eat it every day. We are down in Brigantine now. It's very close to Atlantic City and though I have heard and seen the flickering lights of the slot machines...I am not allowed to play :(

My friends are here - Ava & Grace. We went to the beach together and played outside in the pool. I'm having so much fun that I want to start each day really early - like 4:15am today!!! Daddy was just coming home from the casino too.

My boyfriend, Caden, took me to playland on a date. We had a few chaperones though: Mom, Caden's Mom, Caden's Dad, and Caden's little Sis.
It was wicked hot out. I was pretty miserable. I went on three rides: the cars (which I loved and I screamed when Mommmy made me get off). I went on the Choo-Choo train (which I loved and I screamed when Mommy mademe get off). And the carousel...which made me cry and cry and cry the entire duration of the ride. We left soon after. Caden went down the big slide like 4 times! He's so cool.

Hi Everybody! I'm on vacation! I have no pictures...as many as Mom took yesterday - there was no memory card in the camera. Oops. We'll get some today and post tonight. I promise. Here's what we've done:

Day 1: BBQ at Julie & Dave's. We played on the Slip and Slide!
Day 2: Visit with Kolleen and her Belly! There's a baby girl in there.
Day 3: The Bronx Zoo! I saw sea lions and gorillas. But my favorite was the Duckies. Quack.
Day 4: The Maritime Aquarium with Grandma and Grandpa!

So I bought my Dad a car for Father's Day. Not just any car...an SUV, I heard they were really good on gas. Okay - Mom almost choked when she saw the Jeep got 13 MPG. But we'll just put a bumper sticker on there stating "Our Other Car is a Honda Civic Hybrid" - think anyone will believe us? Dad negotiated a great deal - because really, we're the only ones buying an SUV right now.
